At Cape May’s best Bed and Breakfast, your day starts as early as you choose. Enjoy an early morning walk on the beach, watch dolphins play in the surf or take a ride around town on one of our complimentary beach cruisers.  Of course, if you prefer, sleep late or enjoy that first peaceful mug of coffee or tea from one of our many oceanfront porches or balconies.  Coffee and gourmet teas are available throughout the day.    


 At our historic bed and breakfast, we serve a full hot gourmet breakfast to your table and also offer a starter menu. Seating options include group seating in the main dining room where you can mingle and meet other guests, intimate tables for two in our parlor or outdoor dining on our oceanview porches (weather permitting). Arrive any time between 8 am and 10 am and start with the starter menu of fresh-cut fruits, hot muffins, coffee cake, bagels, and a variety of fresh juices, coffee, and tea, but save room. When you're ready for the main entrée, one of our servers will describe the three hot entrees being served that day. Our menu changes daily, and includes items from our popular Angel of the Sea Bed & Breakfast Cookbook such as Mushroom Encrusted Quiche, Tomato Bacon and Egg Angel Puff, Cream Cheese-filled Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, Eggs Benedict and mixed berry Belgian Waffles. We can usually accommodate special dietary needs. Please let us know in advance (at check-in) and when speaking with your server at breakfast.    


 After breakfast, our helpful front desk staff is available to help you plan your day. We can make recommendations, assist with dining reservations, and arrange for theater and tour tickets. There are many ways to explore Cape May. You can drive, walk, take the town’s open air trolleys (which stop across the street), or use our complimentary beach cruiser bicycles.  The Angel of the Sea, Cape May’s most romantic bed and breakfast, is located half a block from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. We provide complimentary use of beach chairs, beach towels and beach umbrellas. Our beautiful award winning beaches are consistently rated among the best in the country.  They are well groomed, staffed (in season) by professional lifeguards, and offer convenient comfort stations.    


 Victorian Cape May is also famous for having the second largest number of Victorian homes in the USA, second only to San Francisco. Visitors can enjoy many historic sites and tours organized by the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC). Another favorite guest destination is our charming outdoor pedestrian mall at Washington Street. It offers many specialty shops and galleries where you can purchase souvenirs, beachwear, artwork, jewelry, and many other unique items. There is also a wonderful selection of restaurants and sweet shops. No retail center would be complete without comfortable benches from which your companion can people-watch while you shop till you drop (lol).  After a day of sun, surf, tours or retail therapy, return to the Angel of the Sea to enjoy a refreshing glass of complimentary iced tea or fruit infused ice water on the porch (available all afternoon and evening). Our chef bakes a decadent selection of cakes, cookies, pastries, scones, and delicious sweet treats daily for our afternoon tea service at 4 pm. Enjoy your afternoon tea on our wraparound ocean front porches while taking in the sea breeze and listening to the waves crash on our shore. One of the most relaxing experiences in Cape May is tea time on the ocean front porches of Cape May’s most elegant bed and breakfast, The Angel of The Sea.   Your evening is just beginning! Join fellow guests for The Angel of the Sea’s famous wine & cheese. We serve many varieties of imported cheeses, meats, crudité and antipasto from 5:30 to 7 pm. Relax on the oceanfront porches and balconies with a glass of wine and a plate of delicious appetizers.   


 Our Angel of The Sea Bed and Breakfast front desk staff can help with  suggestions and reservations for dinner. Cape May has a large number of excellent restaurants, from casual to elegant. After dinner, enjoy some sweets at the Washington Street pedestrian mall or explore Cape May’s nightlife at one of the bars, pubs or clubs, many of which offer live entertainment.  Of course, you might prefer to spend a romantic evening under the stars on one of our many ocean front porches, or retire to your romantic guest room for some much needed relaxation. The Angel of the Sea is the perfect Bed and Breakfast for a beach vacation or romantic getaway. We are open year round.
